Audio Podcast- “Your Body Is Perfect”

This audio clip is the first installment in a series. Each part of the series will help build a bridge of connection between your medicine and you.

For as long as medicine has been around, we have come up with treatments that match our understanding of how the human body works.

The theory of 4 humours led to the treatment of bloodletting; the ancient idea that the body is controlled by meridians led the Chinese to develop acupuncture; the belief that cholesterol in arteries creates heart attacks led to cholesterol lowering meds; the idea that the body is a collection of physical parts that break down has led to surgical interventions.

None of these theories are complete. None take into account everything that we know about the body. You are complex and exist on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels - all at the same time.

If we are to truly heal from disease, we need a medicine that will accurately reflect this holistic understanding of the human body.

In the next few months, in this forum, I will attempt to build a bridge between the true nature of the human body and the medicine we use to treat it. This bridge will be made of some familiar materials, but it may also surprise you.

One side of the bridge will be the human body, and the other side will be medicine. The center of the bridge, where the treatment and the body finally become one, reveals the key to healing. (hint: it has a lot to do with love.)
