About Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic physicians embody a philosophy of medicine that respects both the science of the disease and vitality of the person. Methods of treatment can vary widely from doctor to doctor, but each naturopath strives to using the healing power of nature to address the underlying causes of each disease.

In Oregon, naturopaths are board-certified by the Oregon Board of Naturopathic Examiners and must have graduated from a four year accredited naturopathic medical school. A few naturopathic physicians, including Dr. Elliott, are selected for residencies that last for one year after graduation. Dr. Elliott participated in a prestigious residency at the National College of Natural Medicine and received hundreds of extra hours of clinical training in a post-graduate setting.

In the office of Dr. Travis Elliott, all of this education is put to use with every patient.
