Throughout his life, Dr. Elliott has had a passion for learning and a passion for teaching. Upon graduation from college, Dr. Elliott was selected to be a member of the 1996 corps of Teach For America, and taught two years of high school science at Silver Creek High School in San Jose, California.
After realizing that his true passion was the emerging science of mind/body medicine, or psychoneuroimmunology, he ended his public teaching career and entered the National College of Natural Medicine- one of the most reputable four- year naturopathic medical schools in North America. After earning his Naturopathic Doctorate (N.D.), with an emphasis on classical homeopathy, he was selected for the prestigious NCNM Family Medicine Residency Program and received a “Making a Difference; Inspirational Award” from his peers.
It was during this residency that Dr. Elliott gained hundreds of extra hours of clinical training. He also participated in the OHSU Integrative Medicine Program as part of a team consisting of a chiropractor, a medical doctor, and an acupuncturist that collaborated to solve medical problems.
Throughout his training and early years of private practice, Dr. Elliott consistently pushed the boundaries of what was known about health and disease. He has always had a firm belief that the human body has an ability to heal itself, and that the best medicine complements and supports this ability.
Dr. Elliott’s unique approach lives up to these principles. Please call, email, or make an appointment for a detailed description and how his system can help your condition.
Dr. Elliott currently maintains a private practice in Portland, Oregon, where he lives with his wife, children, and various animals.
